OSHO
NEVER BORN NEVER DIED,
ONLY VISITED THIS PLANET EARTH
BETWEEN
11 DECEMBER 1931 AND 19 JANUARY 1990

I would like more and more writers, poets, film makers to steal as much as they can, because truth is not my property, I am not its owner. let it reach in any way, in anybody's name, in any form, but let it reach. Beyond Psychology#3 Q#2 : Osho

If you really want to know who I am, you have to be as absolutely empty as I am. Then two mirrors will be facing each other, and only emptiness will be mirrored: two mirrors facing each other. But if you have some idea, then you will see your own idea in me."

"Only that which cannot be taken away by death is real. Everything else is unreal, it is made of the same stuff dreams are made of." ~OSHO♥

The Right Amount Of Meditation - Osho

This is an excerpt from the discourse "The Great Pilgrimage: From Here to Here #7" where Osho has talked about "The Right Amount of Meditation."

"This man, Goenka... I have never thought it worthwhile to say anything about him. Many of you must have been in his Vipassana camps.... Just a few days before I left America I received a newsletter in which he had made a statement about me. That amazed me - that was the beginning. I started looking into this man's capacity, potentiality, realization. He made a statement that he had seen me and talked with me for hours in Madras. Now, I have been to Madras in India only once. That was twenty-five years ago, and I am absolutely certain that I have met nobody and talked with nobody for hours about Vipassana. Even the word Vipassana was not mentioned while I was in Madras for three days.

Seeing this statement gave me the idea that this man cannot be a meditator. If he can lie so easily.... Now Dulari has been in his camp, and after the camp she has been meditating, using the technique given by him, for ten hours a day.

I want Dulari to be alert. And particularly her husband should report to the police, because meditation - particularly Vipassana meditation - should not be done more than two hours. And those two hours have to be early in the morning; the best time is before sunrise. If somebody goes on meditating for ten hours, the ultimate consequence is going to be insanity. And there will be by-products also; for example, a man meditating for ten hours will lose his sleep completely."

Rumi-Only Breath

Not Christian or Jew or Muslim, not Hindu, Buddhist, Sufi, or Zen.

Not any religion or cultural system.

I am not from the east or the west, not out of the ocean or upfrom the ground, not natural or ethereal, not composed of elements at all.

I do not exist, am not an entity in this world or the next, did not descend from Adam and Eve or any origin story.

My place is the placeless, a trace of the traceless.

Neither body or soul.

I belong to the beloved, have seen the two worlds as one and that one call to and know, first, last, outer, inner, only that breath breathing human being.

Sufi Mystic - Jelaluddin Rumi - 13th century

Kahlil Gibran Quotes

'The Prophet' by Kahlil Gibran is one of the most loved book of Osho. It was because of Osho, that I became aware of this beautiful writer. I have read a handful of his books and they I've loved them all. Here's a compilation of quotes from various books of Khalil Gibran, which I found in http://www.quotationspage.com/quotes/Kahlil_Gibran

Hope you'll like this compilation and enjoy going through it.

Love,

cooldiponline (OshoOnline)

Every man loves two women;the one is the creation of his imagination and the other is not yet born.

Generosity is giving more than you can, and pride is taking less than you need.

God made Truth with many doors to welcome every believer who knocks on them.

I have learnt silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet strange, I am ungrateful to these teachers.

If indeed you must be candid, be candid beautifully.

If you cannot work with love but only with distaste, it is better that you should leave your work.

If you reveal your secrets to the wind you should not blame the wind for revealing them to the trees.

In the sweetness of friendship; let there be laughter and the sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.

It is well to give when asked, but it is better to give unasked, through understanding.

Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.

Say not, 'I have found the truth,' but rather, 'I have found a truth.'

The deeper sorrow carves into your being the more joy you can contain.

The lights of stars that were extinguished ages ago still reaches us. So it is with great men who died centuries ago, but still reach us with the radiations of their personalities.

The optimist sees the rose and not its thorns; the pessimist stares at the thorns, oblivious of the rose.

To understand the heart and mind of a person, look not at what he has already achieved, but at what he aspires to do.

Yesterday is but today's memory, tomorrow is today's dream.

In battling evil, excess is good; for he who is moderate in announcing the truth is presenting half-truth. He conceals the other half out of fear of the people's wrath.
It is well to give when asked but it is better to give unasked, through understanding.

Yes, there is a Nirvanah; it is leading your sheep to a green pasture, and in putting your child to sleep, and in writing the last line of your poem.

And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter and the sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.

Osho talks about Vipassana

Osho says:“To me Music and Meditation are two aspects of the same phenomenon and without music meditation lacks something; without music, meditation is a little dull, unalive. Without meditation, music is simply noise – harmonious, but noise. Without meditation, music is an entertainment; music and meditation should go together. That adds a new dimension to both. Both are enriched by it.”

First you have to dance, so in dance your armour drops. First you have to shout in joy and sing, so your life becomes more vital. First you have to cathart, so all you have repressed is thrown out and your body is purified of toxins and poisons, and your psyche also is purified from repressed traumas and wounds. When this has happened and you have become able to laugh and you have become able to love, then Vipassana.

SITTING silently, just start watching your breath. The easiest way to watch is from the entrance of the nose. When the breath comes in, feel the touch of the breath at the entrance of the nose – watch it there. The touch will be easier to watch, breath will be too subtle; in the beginning just watch the touch. The breath goes in, and you feel it going in: watch it. And then tallow it, go with it. You will find there comes a point where it stops. Just somewhere near your navel it stops – for a tiny tiny moment, for a pal, it stops. Then it moves outwards again; then follow it – again feel the touch, the breath going out of the nose. Follow it, go with it outside – again you will come to a point, the breath stops for a very tiny moment. Then again the cycle starts.

Inhalation, gap, exhalation, gap, inhalation, gap. That gap is the most mysterious phenomenon inside you. When the breath comes in and stops and there is no movement, that is the point where one can meet God. Or when the breath goes out and stops and there is no movement.
Remember, you are not to stop it; it stops on its own. If you stop it you will miss the whole point, because the doer will come in and witnessing will disappear. You are not to do anything about it. You are not to change the breath pattern, you are neither to inhale nor to exhale. It. is not like Pranayam of yoga, where you start manipulating the breath; it is not that. You don’t touch the breach at all – you allow its naturalness, its natural flow. When it goes out you follow it, when it comes in you follow it.

And soon you will become aware that there are two gaps. In those two gaps is the door. And in those two gaps you will understand, you will see, that breath itself is not life – maybe a food for life, just like other foods, but not life itself. Because when the breathing stops you are there, perfectly there – you are perfectly conscious, utterly conscious. And the breath has stopped, breathing is no more there, and you are there.

And once you continue this watching of the breath – what Buddha calls Vipassana or Anapanasati Yog – if you go on watching it, watching it, watching it, slowly slowly you will see the gap is increasing and becoming bigger. Finally it happens that for minutes together the gap remains. One breath goes in, and the gap ... and for minutes the breath does not go out. All has stopped. The world has stopped, time has stopped, thinking has stopped. Because when the breath stops, thinking is not possible. And when the breath stops, for minutes together, thinking is absolutely impossible – because the thought process needs continuous oxygen, and your thought process and your breathing are very deeply related.

When you are angry your breath has a different rhythm, when you are sexually stimulated you have a different breath rhythm, when you are silent a different breath rhythm again. When you are happy a different breath rhythm, when you are sad a different rhythm again. Your breathing goes on changing with the moods of the mind. And vice versa is also true – when the breath changes, the moods of the mind change. And when breath stops, mind stops.

In that stopping of the mind the whole world stops – because the mind is the world. And in that stopping you come to know for the first time what is the breath inside the breath; life inside life. That experience is liberating. That experience makes you alert of God – and God is not a person but the experience of life itself.

Meditation is just being delighted in your own presence. Meditation is a delight in your own being.

VipassanaInsight Meditation

Find a comfortable place to sit for 45 to 60 minutes. It helps to sit at the same time and in the same place every day, and it doesn’t have to be a silent place. Experiment until you find the situation you feel best in. You can sit once or twice a day, but don’t sit for at least an hour after eating or before sleeping.

It’s important to sit with your back and head straight. Your eyes should be closed and the body as still as possible. A meditation bench can help, or a straight-backed chair or any arrangement of cushions.

There is no special breathing technique; ordinary, natural breathing is fine. Vipassana is based on the awareness of the breath, so the rise and fall of each breath should be watched, wherever the sensation is felt most clearly – at the nose or in the area of the stomach or solar plexus.

Vipassana is not concentration and it is not an objective to remain watching the breathing for a whole hour. When thoughts, feelings or sensations arise, or when you become aware of sound, smells and breezes from outside, simply allow the attention to go to them. Whatever comes up can be watched as clouds passing in the sky – you neither cling nor reject. Whenever there is a choice of what to watch, return to awareness of breathing.

Remember, nothing special is meant to happen. There is neither success nor failure – nor is there any improvement. There is nothing to figure out or analyse, but insights may come about anything. Questions and problems may just be seen as mysteries to be enjoyed.

There are daily Vipassana sittings during the monthly meditation camps at the ashram.
Osho talks about the upsurge of energy often felt by people starting Vipassana.

In Vipassana it can happen sometimes that one feels very sensual, because you are so silent and energy is not dissipated. Ordinarily much energy is dissipated and you are exhausted. When you simply sit, not doing anything, you become a silent pool of energy, and the pool goes on becoming bigger and bigger and bigger. It almost comes to a point where it is overflowing ... and then you feel sensuous. You feel a new sensitivity, sensualness, even sexuality – as if all the senses have become fresh, younger, alive, as if the dust has fallen from you and you have taken a bath, and are being cleansed with the shower. That happens.

That's why people – particularly Buddhist monks who have been doing Vipassana for centuries – don't eat much. They don't need to. They eat once – and that too a very meagre meal, very small you may call it almost a breakfast ... and once a day. They don't sleep much but they are full of energy. And they are not escapists – they work hard. It is not that they are not working. They will chop wood and work in the garden, in the field, on the farm; they will work the whole day. But something has happened to them, and now the energy is no more being dissipated.

And the posture of sitting is very very energy-conserving. The lotus position in which Buddhists sit is such that all the ends of the body are meeting – feet upon feet, hands upon hands. These are the points from where the energy moves and flows out, because for the energy to flow out, something pointed is needed. Hence the male sexual organ is a pointed thing because it has to leak much energy. It is almost a safety-valve. When the energy is too much inside you and you cannot do anything, you release it sexually.

In the sexual act a woman never releases any energy. So a woman can make love to many persons in one, night but a man cannot. A woman can even conserve energy if she knows how; she can even get energy.

From your head no energy is released outside. It has been made by nature in a round shape. So the brain never loses any energy; it conserves – because that is the most important, the central management of your body. It has to be protected – so it is protected by a round skull.

Energy cannot leak out from any round thing. That’s why all the planets – earth and sun and moon and the stars – are all round. Otherwise they will leak energy and will die.

When you sit, you become rounded; hands touching hands. So if this hand releases energy, it moves into another hand. Feet touching feet... and the way you sit becomes almost a circle. Energy moves within you. It is not going out. One conserves it; one becomes by and by a pool. By and by you will feel almost a fullness in your belly. You may be empty, you may not have eaten, but you feel a certain fullness. And then the onrush of sensuality. But it is a good sign, a very very good sign. So enjoy it.

Becoming an astronaut of the inner space

Many times in deep meditation, you will suddenly become aware as if the gravitation has disappeared. That now nothing holds you down, that it is now up to you to decide whether to fly or not, That now it is up to you, if you want you can simply fly up to the sky. The whole sky is yours. But when you open the eyes, suddenly the body is there, the earth is there, the gravitation is there. When you were with closed eyes meditating you forgot your body, you moved to a different dimension; the dimension of grace.

Enjoy it, allow it, because once you start thinking it is crazy, you will stop it and that stopping will disturb your meditation. Enjoy it as in a dream you fly. Close your eyes. In meditation go wherever you want, rise higher and higher into the sky, and many more things soon will become available to you. And don’t be afraid. It is the greatest adventure, greater than going to the moon; becoming an astronaut of the inner space is the greatest adventure.

Osho suggests this beautiful technique for those who are disturbed by sensations of physical instability and flying.

Just sit in your bed for five or ten minutes and visualise with closed eyes... feel that your body is becoming bigger, bigger, bigger, bigger. Make it as big as possible – so big that it almost starts touching the walls of the room.

You will start feeling that now you cannot move your hands – it is difficult... your head is touching the roof. First for two, three days just feel this; then start spreading out of the room. Fill the whole house, and you will feel that the room is inside you. Then spread outside the house – fill the whole neighbourhood, and feel the whole neighbourhood inside you. And then fill the whole sky, and feel the sun and the moon and the stars moving inside you.

This you continue for ten, twelve days. By and by, slowly, fill the whole sky. The day you have filled the whole sky, start the reverse process. For two days again, become small. In the reverse process, sit and then start imagining you are becoming very small. Just move the other way. Your body is not as big as it appears – it has become one foot high. You are just like a tiny toy – and you will feel it. If you can imagine the hugeness, you can imagine the smallness. Then even smaller – so small that you can hold yourself in your hand. Then even smaller... then even smaller. And within twelve days bring it to such a point that you cannot find yourself. You have become so atomically small that it is impossible to find where you are.

Make yourself as huge as the whole space and then make yourself as small as an invisible atom – twelve days one, then twelve days the other. You will feel so beautiful, so happy and so centered that you cannot imagine it.

Meditation can give you the greatest glimpses, because it is the most useless thing in the world. You simply move into silence. It is greater than sleep because in sleep you are unconscious, whatsoever happens, happens unconsciously. You may be in paradise, but you don't know. In meditation you move knowingly, then you become aware of the path: how to move from the useful world of the without to the useless world within. And once you know the path, any moment you can simply move inwards.

Sitting in a bus you are not needed to do anything, you are simply sitting; travelling in a car or train or an aeroplane, you are not doing anything, everything is being done by other's; you can close your eyes and move into the useless, the inner. And suddenly everything becomes silent, and suddenly everything is cool, and suddenly you are at the source of all life.
But it has no value on the market. You cannot go and sell it, you cannot say: I have great meditation. Is anybody ready to buy it? Nobody will be ready to buy it. It is not a commodity. It is useless.

From the Orange book...

Nobody Is Imperfect - Osho

"Nobody is imperfect; hence nobody needs to be perfect. All that is needed is to live your life totally. Perfection is already there. We come from the perfect; hence we can't be imperfect. We are born out of the ultimate, we are waves in the ocean of god. So whatsoever is the quality of god is the quality of the waves.

If god is perfect, we are perfect. So the very idea of becoming perfect is absurd. There is no need to become perfect, everyone is already perfect. But we are not living that perfection in its totality, we are living at the minimum. We are not using our potential, we are using only a minor part of it - scientists say not more than seven percent. Ninety-three percent potential is simply lost. And it was already there, available to for us to use. When you live a hundred percent you are really using the great opportunity that god has given you. And only at a hundred percent the transformation takes happens, never before it.

So my effort here is to make you love life as intensely as possible, to live each moment as wholly as possible, and slowly slowly something starts unfolding in you, and you start discovering yourself. The more challenges you give yourself, the more you discover."

-Osho

Prayer Does Not Need Any Words - Osho

"Prayer does not need any word. What is there to say to god? He knows it already. And if something is not given, that simply means that it is not needed. He is wiser than you, but people go on advising him: "Do this, do that, give me this, give me that," as if god is not wiser enough. All your prayer is just advice, and people go on persisting everyday. It is a kind of nagging of god. "How long will you not listen? I go on asking morning and evening...."

To me prayer has nothing to do with words. It is silent gratefulness; it is utterly silent, but a deeper gratefulness. It is possible only if you learn how to be blissful; otherwise there will be nothing to be grateful for.

Let your life be a life of love and laughter and you will start feeling a subtle presence of prayerfulness in you. And that prayerfulness will not be Christain, Hindu or Mohammedan, it will be simply prayerfulness."

Written and Created Destiny!

Call it ' Destiny ' or call it ' Fate '. Call it what you want! Most of us might even contradict the whole affair. I will neither say that I am right or wrong. I leave that for you to decide, but this is something I've written out of sheer experience and realization. With some brief examples and case-study I'll try my best and make you aware of the message I am trying to convey about this beautiful facet of life, which might once again help you realize another aspect about the " Essence of Life ", which is my sole objective.

While studying here in Bangalore, many times I have heard my friends saying, our life is all set and planned, even before we have entered this world. Sometimes, when my friends fail in their semester examinations, they say it is the will of God, it was all planned. Well I could have understood the fact, that had my friend studied and gave his best efforts and still failed, perchance even if destinies were ever written, then perchance he was destined to fail. But what if this same friend of mine does not study the whole semester, ignoring his onus towards his academics and fails, can he still say that it was written in his destiny to fail? Well, now some of my friends, reading this article might point out that perhaps it was written in his destiny to be irresponsible towards his studies. Well that indeed is a valid point. But patience my friend. I'll explain it all to you; before you draw the final conclusion :)
Like initially, I mentioned that I have realized that that there are two kinds of destinies. Now, I'll try and create a clear picture for you of the two aforementioned destinies.

First with " Written Destiny":

You were born in USA, some country in Europe, Asia or Africa to a particular family. You had no option to chose your parents, family, color and race. I believe such things can be associated with " Written Destiny". Just keep it in your mind that I have mentioned the phrase - " no option. "

Now something about " Created Destiny":

Once again let me take you to the case of my friend who fails in his semester examinations. I have mentioned before that he had all the time in the world to study, but being irresponsible towards his studies he fails. Which mean that - he had the option to study; yet he did not? Now can we say that it was a " Written Destiny" ?

So did you get my points, my friends? I am sure by now you must have got a clear picture of the message I am trying to convey.

Yes, that is what I realized sometimes back. I realized that even if there was something called as " Destiny(s) " in life, then at the minimum there are two types of " Destinies ". Instances in life where you do not have an option to make, that I call it as " Written Destiny ". And instances where you have options to make I call it as " Created Destiny ", irrespective of the result of your instances. I have used the phrase " at the minimum here ", cause at the moment these are the two possibilities that life has whispered to me. If life has whispered to you some more possibilities I would be happy to be aware of them as well. So, please don't hesitate to post it.

So whatever be the case my friend, whether you have been born in a poor family, handicapped or any major incident that occurred in your life where you had no choice or option to make or take, then accept it. For believe me, everything in life has a reason. Whatever God made you he had a reason to it. But the problem is that nobody ones to become themselves, the way God wanted them to become. Almost every body wants to become like somebody. And that is the point, and it indeed is a turning point, the deciding point, where you miss. Even if you look at the past, all rich men of today, at once instances started from ground zero. So many handicapped people have touched that zenith of life, where our so-called normal people have even failed to touch the feet of the peak these people have reached. For, instance take Bill Gates for example. So far since the past fifteen years he has been ranked as the richest man in the world. Look at the Google guys, they first hosted their server from a garage. All these people were not super rich from the day they were born. And now look where they have reached. Look at Helen Keller, she was a born-retard and a handicapped and you all must be well aware of what she made up of her life. Stephen Hawkins, he is called one of the most intelligent man in the whole world, and he is a handicap. I have heard John Milton wrote one of his most beautiful poems after he became blind. Beethoven composed one of his best symphonies after he became deaf. Phew!!! I guess that will be enough to quench your thirst and boost you up.

God has sent you in this world with an objective. Not just to go to school, get a degree, marry, procreate, grow up you children, perchance become grandparents and eventually die. There is something more to life. To realize this objective is one of the most important discovery towards realizing the " Essence of your Life ". It is all up to you. The choice is yours. And believe me when I say this to you, it is out of my own experience - " Seek and You'll find. "And always remember the only person that can stop you is you. Rest all are excuses. God never does any kind of partiality. Each moment he is giving each and everyone of us infinite opportunities. Cause if God were to be partial, then he cannot be God. He is human. Only humans are partial and political. Helen Keller herself has told " In life when one door of happiness closes, another one immediately opens. But often we get so lost and absorbed in our sorrows and problems, we fail to see the one which has opened ( which of course is futile ), cause when has worrying helped anybody? So, it's up to you my friend, as to whether you just want to go on complaining and nagging about the things you got and the ones you didn't get like a baby and remain like a baby your whole life. Or, now you say - " Enough of all these nonsense! If the only thing that can stop me is me, then at least I want stop myself. Rest I will face it, come what may. "

The choice is yours :)

Sanyas or Disciplehood: The True Suicide

Q: OSHO, I ALWAYS THINK OF COMMITTING SUICIDE, AND WONDER WHAT YOU WOULD SAY ABOUT MY DEATH?

Prashant,

I AM REMINDED OF A BEAUTIFUL ANECDOTE:

The minister, who got himself a little mixed up now and again, was standing over the open casket of the dearly departed, Joe Hall.
"Our friend Joe Hall is not dead," he orated. "Only the shell is here to be buried; the nut has departed."
Why should you think of a suicide? Are you a nut or something?
If you have become a sannyasin (disciple) you have already committed suicide. Sannyas is a suicide - the real one. It is not destroying the body, because destroying the body is not going to help; you will be immediately born again somewhere in some other womb. It will only be renewing the body; it is not real suicide. Sannyas is real suicide, because it destroys the mind, it takes you beyond the mind. And if you are beyond the mind you will not be born again. Why be born again and again? Why go on this vicious circle?

I know you are bored with life. If you are really bored, then meditation is the way, not suicide - because suicide will bring you to the SAME life, maybe an uglier life than you have right now, because suicide will create its own ugliness in you. To commit suicide is such an ungrateful act towards God. He gave you life as an opportunity to grow, and you throw away the opportunity.

And unless you grow, unless you grow and become a Buddha (one who has known himself, the enlightened one), you will be thrown back to life again and again. Million of times it has happened before: it is time you should become aware. Don't miss this opportunity.

Being here with me, learn the real art of suicide. The real art consists not in destroying the body... the body is beautiful, the body has not done any wrong. It is the ugly mind. The body is beautiful, the soul is beautiful, but between the body and the soul there is something which is neither body nor soul. This in-between phenomenon is the mind.

Lusty for Life Commit Suicide

It is the mind that goes on dragging you back to the womb. When you die, if you commit suicide you will be thinking of life. Committing suicide means you are thinking of life. You are bored, fed up with life; you would like a totally different kind of life, that's why you are committing suicide - not that you are really against life. This life you are against. May be you don't want to be the way you are: you would like to be an Alexander, a Napoleon, an Adolph Hitler; maybe you want to be the richest man in the world, and you are not. This life has failed, and you would like to be famous, successful - destroy it!

People commit suicide not because they are really finished with life but because life is not fulfilling their demands. But no life ever fulfills anybody's demands. You will always go on missing something or other: if you have money you may not be beautiful; if you are beautiful you may not be intelligent; if you are intelligent, you may not have money...

People think that those who commit suicide are against life - they are not. They are too lusty for life, they have great lust for life; and because life is not fulfilling their lust,in anger, in despair, they destroy themselves.

Transcending the Mind

Prashant, I will teach you the right way to commit suicide. Not the destruction of the body; the body is a beautiful gift from God; the mind is a conditioning by the society. The soul is a gift, the body is a gift, and sandwiched between the two, the society has played tricks with you: it has created your mind. It gives you ambition,it gives you jealousy, competition, violence,it gives you all kinds of ugly diseases. But this mind can be transcended, this mind can be put aside. This mind is not a must.
I am sitting before you and I say it through my own experience, I say it on my own authority: that mind can be put aside. It is so simple, you just have to know the knack of it.

And remember, whenever I say that I say it on my own authority I am not saying that I say it AUTHORITATIVELY. Those two experiences are totally different. When something is said AUTHORITATIVELY it is a commandment; you have to believe in. If you don't believe in it you will suffer, here or hereafter. The priest speaks with authoritativeness.

A realized man speaks not with authoritativeness but on his own authority - because he KNOWS it. I am not saying follow me, I am not saying believe in me. I am simply stating a fact: that I have known it this way, it has happened to me... it can happen to you.

Life is very precious and the greatest treasure is hidden in it - and that treasure is of becoming a witness...
Transform your life, Prashant, into a quest. Question the values that you have accepted. Question all that you have been brought up to believe in. Question the way you have been lived up to now. Question your mechanicalness, question your robot like existence.

Yes, something drastic has to be done, but it is not suicide. It won't help, it won't change you; you will be back again in another womb somewhere. Millions of stupid couples are making love every moment. Beware! You will be caught in some net somewhere. And you will get only what you deserve, remember; you can't get more than you deserve. You get the womb that is right for you.

And dying in suicide is dying in such anguish, because it is one of the most unnatural things to do, most abnormal things to do. No animals commit suicide, no tree ever commits suicide - only man. Only man can go that insane. Nature knows nothing of suicide; it is man's invention. It is the most ugly act. And when you do something to yourself you cannot hope that you will get a better life. You will die in an ugly state of mind and you will enter an uglier womb.

Upsurge the Quest

But what is the need to commit suicide?Just question: you must have lived in a wrong way, that's why life has not become a song. You must have lived foolishly, stupidly, unintelligent; that's why life has not attained to celebration. You cannot dance with joy with the stars and with the flowers and with the wind and with the rain, because you have lived with wrong kinds of ideas imposed on you by the same kind of people as you are.

It is a perpetual phenomenon; stupidity goes on perpetuating itself. Parents go on giving their stupidity to their children and the children in their turn will hand over their stupidity to THEIR children. This is the heritage. This is called tradition, heritage, culture... great names!

Question all that you have lived without questioning up to now, and your life will have a new intelligence arising in it. Your life will become more sharp...

Ezra Pound is right. And do you know from where he is writing this? From his death-cell! "Out of all this beauty something must come." Ezra Pound in a dark cell, just waiting for death to come, can write such tremendously important sutra: "Out of all this beauty something must come." The birds singing, and the trees, and the flowers.... this infinite universe - is it the place to commit suicide? It is the place to dance, to sing, to celebrate, to love and to be loved.

And if you can love this existence, if you can feel blessed with this existence, I promise you that when you die you will not be coming back again... because you will have learn the lesson. God never sends anybody back to the school if once they have learn their lessons. If you can learn to rejoice, you will be accepted. Doors of higher mysteries will be opened to you. You will be welcomed into the innermost mysteries of life. That's what I call the true art of committing suicide: my name for it is sannyas (disciplehood).

What is Real Love? A Sufi Perspective!

Many times Osho has talked about Sufi Masters in his discourses. I was made aware of this video by a friend treading the Sufi Path to whom I will always be grateful for that. And listening to Shaykh Hisham Kabbani in this 3 videos I understand why Osho had talked by and large about these wonderful spiritual masters.

Here, Shaykh Hisham Kabbani speaks at an interfaith event about the reality of human beings, the meaning of real love, tolerance, acceptance and the human potential.

Don't just watch these 3 videos. Contemplate on it, savour it and eventually, simply just go on enjoying.

God bless.

Love,

Osho: Why I am Talking? A Reminder!

Selling Bliss and Copyrighting Osho! Why are we taking Osho to the American Courts again?

Osho is not anybodies Prerogative!

Lately, I have been aware of the inconsequential tussle between the so-called Foundations Osho International Foundation, Zurich and Osho World, Delhi. Yes, they are inconsequential to me, because my beloved Master has given each sannyasin the freedom to chose his|her own path or to associate with a Foundation, depending upon what the sannyasins solely decides. And instead of unifying Osho and wasting time on inconsequential tussle and fights and court cases, I know I have better things to do. Osho had predicted before itself that his sannyasins are going to fight after his demise and now we are getting a clear picture of his forecasts.

In the past one week I came across two beautiful videos of the beloved Master Osho where he has spoken on two subjects as aforementioned in the title of this post. These two discourses which seem to be oxymoronic on the surface but if you give it some contemplation, you will observe that on the inside they are not. Both discourses explains two totally different case that are like two lines that are so close and yet they are parallel.

Yeah, Osho is very oxymoronic. He says he contradicts himself. And I've observed that in many of his discourses too. In one discourse he talks for love and in another discourse he contradicts it. Initially, this approach of his used to confuse me a lot, and then one day I realized that was what Osho indeed wanted. He was always looking for ways to confuse us, to hammer us, so that we could never make a single unified theory about him. He has said that, anybody trying to do so will, simply go nuts! Hahahahahahahaha.... that's one of the most beautiful qualities of his, that I adore so much...

In the first video Osho speaks about selling bliss, to which I'd no problems even before I'd watched it. And this video of his just convinces me more.

Last year during my holidays, I'd been to Kathmandu for a 7 days meditation program. There the cost of meditation for a 7 days meditation program was about $60 to $70 inclusive of both food and lodging. Since I wasn't earning then I'd to borrow the money from my mother. When I asked my mother for the money, coming from an orthodox Hindu family, she asked me even for meditation you need money? I somehow managed to convince her that I did need it and attended the meditation program. From day one itself I'd no problems with the Meditation Commune charging money. I could understand the fact that that there centre was located in the heart and expensive locale of Kathmandu and by common sense they did need money to run the commune. Moreover after the 7 days program, I felt such grace and blessing, showered on me from the Beloved, from the Divine, I knew that even millions of dollars could never buy me that.

Now coming to the second video. Copyrighting? Why? Is it really needed? And I hope you do understand that there is no co-relation between copyrighting and selling. People have been selling potatoes and tomatoes without copyrighting? And is there really a need to copyright tomatoes and potatoes, and yet we value them so much, don't we?

I've read OIF perspectives on Copyright and I've read Osho World's too. I presume both Commune are a mature and a responsible commune and that they are aware of as to what they are doing? And now lately what has been developing around them is fight... fight.. fight... One trying to prove the other wrong... hahahahahaaha.. and that is not just possible.. One is trying to prove the first video right and the other is trying to prove the second one. One is saying just the head belongs to the coin and the other is saying just the tail belongs to the coin. My God! Hahahahaha.. seems like people will never learn... Even this post you will see that I will try and explain things from my own perspectives. And that's what almost everyone does. Try and use analogies supporting your perspectives to prove your point. But we have to know that often this approach isn't right...Why don't we instead arrive at a consensus and work constructively?

Courts? Is it really needed? Two decades ago, the then American Government has already taken Osho to the courts? Wasn't that enough? After all the love and blessings the Master continues to shower on us is this what we give back to him?

Sell the printed books, Cd's, meditation programs... sell.. no one is stopping you... But also allow Osho World or for that matter also allowe any committed commune like Osho World to do the same. They to have their Sannyasins, their meditation programs and maintenance.

And now we have ebooks, we have mp3s.... we have you tube... OIF themselves have posted videos on youtube. And I've come across fellow sannyasins who have mentioned that OIF didn't allow them to post the videos and they told YouTube to ban them? WTF? Why? Who gave you the sole authority that everything pertaining to Osho should only come from you? Why, were the videos posted by other sannyasin causing any harm to Osho? If not then why the ban?

If you want to change something, then please try and do something about that article in Wikipedia, which contains nothing but one sided heaps of lies. One who has been closely associated with Osho can make out that that article is written by someone who has collected biased information from the press and vomited it there.

When ever I've tried to speak of Osho or anywhere online, often I've met people esp. from the West who have totally wrong notions about Osho, courtesy 'The Wikipedia' and they question me with all sort of wrong and misguided informations. I've replied to many of them and clarified their misconceptions.

Words.... so easy to play with them... I think I gotta stop... I know I can write pages.. but of what use might it serve.. The Master has 600+ books to his name and inspite of that we have fights amongst sannyasins.. then what will these few words of mine do... Yes, I better stop...

To conclude, here's what Osho says in the the end of the first video:

'And Alexander agreed, "Perhaps I will give the whole empire." And the Master laughed. He said, "Then what have you are doing, wasting your whole life for a bottle of water.... Are you stupid or something?"

The world understands things in its own way. Other wise my bliss is freely available to anybody who can appreciate it, who is (oshoonline: I am sorry I couldn't get this word), who is open to receive it; there is no price tag on it. But those who cannot understand anything unless they pay for it, for those poor people, we have to put price on everything. It is out of compassion. "

:)

So what are you, the first person he is talking of or the poor people? You decide....

As for me I've purchased a lot of Osho's book and I've downloaded them as well. Half of my 30 GB ipod is filled with Osho's videos and discourses. And for me, his books, his pics, his videos and his discourses, his meditation techniques, and above all his blessings and love that he has been showering on me, in my awareness and unawareness; I treasure them in my life the most of all...

P.S: Like, I've told in one of my earlier post, I started this blog with an objective. The day I realize myself that what I am doing is wrong, I will put an end to this, then and there. And you know, it's very easy with blog spot. It's just a click away.. a click away to delete and finish this all...

Love,

CoolDeep eVagabond.

How to do Kundalini Mediation?

The best time for Kundalini Meditation is in the evening after your work, school or may be simply even if you haven't done anything. There are 4 stages in Kundalini Meditation, each stage comprising of 15 minutes, with music played in the background.

First Stage: 15 mins

In the first stage as the music begins, simply losen yourself and allow the shaking to happen starting from your legs. Initially, even if the shaking doesn't happen, don't worry. Allow things to happen as they are happening. Once you feel the shaking in your leg; gradually, allow the shaking from your legs to the other parts of your body. And start observing yourself, your thoughts and your innerself.

Second Stage: 15 mins

Dance, rejoice, move your body the way you want and celebrate. Yes, move your body the way you want, don't refrain, don't feel shy, and it's not a dance competition. If in a group don't bother about others, simply remain centred towards yourself and enjoy...

Third Stage: 15 mins

In the third stage, either, stand the way you stopped after your dance, or gently sit down, in a relaxing position. With music playing, close your eyes, and start observing your thoughts that comes from your mind. Good thoughts, bad thoughts, let it come without any guilt. Don't sway away with your thoughts. Watch them neutrally.

Fourth Stage:

In the fourth stage there is no music and only silence and the 15 minutes ends with the sound of a gong. Lie down and continue to observe your thoughts, your inner sky. Relax.. Relax.... let go... Relax...

Om Shanti Om... Shanti... Shanti.. Shanti...

******End of Meditation******

Here's what Osho said about Kundalini Meditation:

Allow the shaking; don’t do it. Stand silently, feel it coming and when your body starts trembling, help it but don’t do it. Enjoy it, feel blissful about it, allow it, receive it, welcome it, but don’t will it.

If you force it will become an exercise, a bodily, physical exercise. Then the shaking will be there but just on the surface; it will not penetrate you. You will remain solid, stone-like, rock-like within. You will remain the manipulator, the doer, and the body will just be following. The body is not the question – you are the question.

When I say shake, I mean your solidity, your rock-like being should shake to the very foundations so that it becomes liquid, fluid, melts, flows. And when the rock-like being becomes liquid, your body will follow. Then there is no shake, only shaking. Then nobody is doing it; it is simply happening. Then the doer is not.

Osho

Beloved Master,
I bow down to you, with tears in my eyes... such grace... such love..
I love you..... love you.. forever.. and for eternity.......

OSHO: Anybody Who Gives You a Belief System is Your Enemy.

Osho Online :: Why I am Displaying The Ads?

I was expecting it and here I have, a visitor, questioning on my displaying of Ads here in this blog. And I know there will be lots of visitors in the near future, who are going to pose the same question.

Well, I've contemplated over this for a long, long time (the displaying of Ads). This blog isn't an outcome of 'an one day thought.' I'd to decide on several voices and opinion coming from within. Some voice made me guilty and a voice motivated me and made me feel good. One voice said, 'Is this not commercialization' and the other said, I've given you a chance, so don't complain later that you never got one! More over with this copyright hassle the OIF people (Osho International Foundation) have been creating, it has given me a motive and a beautiful objective to work upon, on the behalf of those Sannyasins and Osho Lovers who are against this stupid idea of copyrighting.

And what is this chance?

Well, I hail from Nepal and currently I reside in Bangalore, India. Last year I'd been to a Osho meditation camp in Nepal. The charge for a 7-day meditation program there (Kathmandu) was about $60 to $70 (USD). Due to my financial background, I could easily afford it. But there I'd met other fellow-sannyansins who so much wanted to attend the meditation program like me, but didn't have the money to do so. And since then I've been wanting to do something for folks like them. And if there is a way available, the Sannyasin don't need to pay for the ebooks, videos and mp3s, and make money from Ads provided by a party (Google), which isn't related to Osho Sannyasins in any way, what is the harm in it, what is wrong in it? Moreover, I've decided to use the revenue generated from the Ads for the purpose of fellow sannyasin, who lack the finance to attend meditation programs; and where there is a option available, shouldn't I make use of it? And Goolge has nothing to do with Osho or his sannyasins? So, what's wrong in displaying the Ads provided by them and earning revenues from them itself? And please remember in Nepal, $60-$70 is a hell lot of money for people who don't have it.

Also, I've clearly displayed a banner on the top-left column, where I've offered to display the Ads for Osho Meditation Programs conducted by Sannyasins, for free.

I am only 24 years old now. I've just began to work and with the money I make, I can only look after myself. Maybe, by the grace of God, someday, if I happen to make enough money, then there will be no use of such Ads. Then I can make use of my own money and contribute. But as for now, I have no options available than to make use of the options available, without charging the Osho Sannyasins and Osho Lovers.

Some months back, I was listening to a Hindi discourse of Osho (the title which I don't remember now), where he was talking of money and meditation with his sannyasins. There he said, those who can contribute Rs. 100 can contribute it, the same goes with Rs.80, Rs.70....... Rs. 10. Then what about those who aren't able to contribute anything? For them the money can be adjusted from the sannyasins who contribute.

I hope the question is answered.

If you've read the banner of this blog, you can make out that Osho clearly states that every Sannyasin has a choice in finding and spreading the truth, in his|her own way. He says, "I want them to grow on their own......." I am aware that although this exactly isn't the way, I am happy I am able to share my beloved Master's message in my own ways, with my own objectives, and not bowing down to any authority. For it is through Osho, I became aware of valuable and pricelss atributes like courage, love and freedom. And that is exactly what I am trying to apply here, and yes of course in my OWN WAYS.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :)

A humble request!

Instead of questioning me as to why I am displaying Ads and this and that, why don't anybody who has a problem display it too. I am not stopping you and anyone who understands my pragmatic approach, I am sure won't either. And in the process you can use the fund, without charging any of the Sannyasins in the benefit of the Sannyasins who really need it. We have to understand that not all of Osho's sannyasin are rich and Osho isn't just a rich man's experience.

Conclusion:

To conclude, I don't know how long this blog is going to survive, neither I am worried. But like Osho said (displayed in the banner), if there is truth in whatever I am doing, it will survive, else it won't. And I am not the person who lives on 'ifs' and 'buts.' Later on, I don't want to say to myself, I wish I'd done this and that. The day I realize that this indeed is a mistake I've been committing, I will end it then and there... Until then... here I am, this is me... sharing the message of my Master, in all possible ways that can be. Also, I've nothing against OIF or any so called Foundations as such. They are spreading the Master's message in their own ways, and so am I in my very own ways. So, please lets not create inconsequential fuss, fight like babies, waste time and leave the work undone.

Love,

CoolDeep eVagabond
